Annie Laurie, Claudia Shuster and Jackie Kearns members of ArtonNO, a Pittsfield artist group with a gallery at 311 North Street, will hold an opening for an exhibition of their art works in Pittsifled’s new ArtonNO Gallery on Thursday August 20 from 5-8 PM and through September 12..

The Gallery is located at 25 Union Street, directly across the street from the Barrington Stage Company.

Artist Jackie Kearns is a recent graduate of UMASS/Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and a concentration in oil painting. Her works are contemporary in style and feature colorful, complex street scenes.

Annie Laurie is a graduate of the Visual Arts program of Berkshire Community College. She spearheaded the creation of the new ArtonNO Gallery. She is known for her talent in many media including paintings, prints and three dimensional works.

Claudia Shuster has studied applied arts at the Art Students League in New York City, at Brandeis University and the University of Hartford. She specializes is portrait painting in oil.

All three have also studied with Berkshire artists and have shown their work locally over the past few years. They all have studios in the 311 North Street building above the Gallery.

The show will be on exhibit in the Gallery through September 12. Hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from 1 – 8 PM and occasionally Sundays from 1 – 5 PM.

Because the Gallery is next door to the very popular Mary’s Carrot Cake Bakery and Mary McGinnis is very supportive of ArtonNO artists, the Gallery is also likely to be open whenever Mary’s bakery is open.
