Lucy Feller will give an artist talk on October 10th at 3:30pm.

Beginning on September 12th Ferrin Gallery presents Wish You Were Near, a solo show of digital photographs by Lucy Feller. Feller, a New York City native, and graduate of Bennington College, has shown widely in galleries and museums throughout the US and internationally. For this exhibit Feller has created a series of digitalized and customized post cards. Today electronics make communication constantly available and keeps us connected to each other. To create the pieces in this show Feller uses this technology to create her digital post card images. She begins with vintage postcards that evoke scenes and memories from a past era, as she says, “in the days when “PC” only meant Post Cards”. She then adds images from the contemporary world including familiar entertainment icons and members of her family. To strengthen the post card concept the prints in this series are 4”x 6.”
