2010 BAA Fellowship @ Lichtenstein

The Berkshire Art Association announced that fourteen college art students have been selected to participate in the BAA Fellowship Show 2010 at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. A jury of Berkshire County artists selected this year’s winners.

The exhibit will run from April 16 to May 15 with gallery hours from noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. The Lichtenstein Gallery is operated by City of Pittsfield under the direction of Megan Whilden, Director of Cultural Development.

The opening reception will be April 17, 5 – 7 p.m. During the reception, the BAA will present $4,000 in juried prizes. An additional $250 will be announced and presented to a Berkshire County native in memory of the late Lorraine Lauzon, artist, teacher, writer and long-time Secretary of the Berkshire Art Association.

Four students will receive $500. They are include three Williams seniors: Audry Bell from Colorado Springs, etchings and painting; Meghan Nidever from Ingram, Texas, digital/painted images; and Emma Steinkraus, from Fayetteville, Arkansas, paintings. Merritt Fletcher of North Adams, an MCLA senior, is showing paintings and painted constructions.
