Visit Ven Friday

Finally had a few minutes at the right time… Friday at about 3pm.   Took a minute to swoop down to the Berkshire Museum and distract Ven from his current project on the floor of the Crane Room.

Since his residency started I had been meaing to catch-up but I was always in the wrong place at the right time.

Sittin on the floor, stringin’ lights, hangin out with the boar and moose head.

The Crane room located in the center of the museum has a beautiful huge open skylight ceiling.  The marble floor and the fountain added into the equation makes up a beautiful space, so I can see why Ven chose the room to sprawl out in.

Spoke with Ven for a few minutes about projects/experiments he has played with over the past few weeks.  Setting up a tent in the museum and playing musical instruments, recording the sounds (or lack of) as they bounce around the space, and getting participation from visitors and including them in the recordings.

The piece above will be finished and shown in collaboration with the rest of his creations within his residency at an exhibition on the 24th of June.
