Join Ferrin Gallery and Dream Away Lodge for the opening reception of a show of mixed media figural work by Michael Zelehoski in Dream Away’s Loo Gallery, followed by an artist dinner.

The Loo Gallery is an intimate space for the quiet contemplation of art at the legendary Becket restaurant, bar and music venue.

Michael Zelehoski is a noted young artist whose solo show (DE)CONSTRUCTIONS is currently on view at Ferrin Gallery. Working intensely this winter from his Pittsfield studio, the fifteeen new works in his Ferrin Gallery show are ambitious in scale and emphasize his reuse and recontextualization of found materials and objects. In his Loo Gallery show, BOYS ‘n GIRLS, Zelehoski presents a series of figural work in which human forms are carved into painted, wooden surfaces and treated with fire and wax to creat a striking, almost photographic quality. The exhibition features a series of large assemblages created from found utilitarian objects and large, structural architectural elements. This exhibition, his first at Ferrin Gallery, demonstrates the evolution in Zelehoski’s work the results of a year long exploration of scale and material.
